Young Women in Art Exhibition Brings in Hundreds of Submissions
The 7th annual Young Women in Art Juried Exhibition had nearly 400 submissions from 30 high schools across South Carolina. Young women in grades 9-12 were encouraged to enter their art. The exhibition provides a venue to recognize the exemplary art of high school women. This opportunity for exposure helps students prepare for a major in art and introducing them to the opportunities available through Converse’s Department of Art and Design.
Tia Hrubala’s “Untitled” was this year’s Best in Show. Tia is a student the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities.
