Class of 2024 Music Performance Capstone: Smoke and Mirrors

As part of the Converse School of the Arts‘ innovative Creativity That Works curricular framework, senior Music Performance majors team up to program, promote, stage, and perform a concert in an off-campus Spartanburg venue. The Music Performance majors of Converse’s Class of 2024 — or, as they are known collectively, Phase Five — are delighted to offer this portion of their capstone to the music lovers of Spartanburg!

Join us on November 18th, at 5pm for a musical celebration of Jazz and the transformation of tradition. Phase Five is thrilled to present “Smoke & Mirrors,” a collaborative experience with jazz, art, and the bending of tradition at its forefront. Partnering with the Johnson Collection, we are excited to feature works from musical icons such as George Gershwin, Etta James, and more, as well as some original works from our in-house artists.

Doors open at 4:30pm. Concert is FREE!
